“WebSITCA”

U-Space has provided technical assistance to the Municipality of Aprilia for the implementation of the project “WebSITCA”, co-funded by the Region of Latium within the actions linked to the national e-government programme.
The project aims to integrate the spatial information systems of the different municipal departments, in order to improve data sharing; to foster the participation of citizens, professionals and enterprises; and to ensure data interoperability at national level.
The activities comprise the implementation of a municipal spatial data infrastructure, the activation of online services (such as webGIS, online zoning certificates and Web 2.0 tools), awareness-raising actions targeted to citizens, and training for the civil servants in the field of Geographic Information Systems.
